#Day2 – Menstrual Hygiene Sensitization Campaign
As part of commemorative activities for the Menstrual hygiene day, we embarked on another visit to BAIRD Memorial College -Bonduma over the weekend.
The participants, over 30 in number, inclusive of both boys and girls leveraged on this rare opportunity to channel their worries about menstruation and menstrual cycle to the EWB team following presentations from team members.
The interactive session moderated by Mme Isabel Akum-Director EWB Cameron ended with the distribution of both reusable and disposable sanitary pads to female students of ths institution.
Both the administration and students lauded the initiative of EWB-Cameroon and expressed gratitude, while anticipating our next visit
Menstrual Hygiene Day comes up on Friday, May 28, in the meantime, we will embark on online (social media) campaigns aimed at erasing common stigma in women associated with menstruation, by debunking myths with facts about menstrual health.
